The strong winds and heavy rains brought by typhoon JUAN and those past super typhoons causing destructive flashfloods are warning messages from God to our country and the whole world that everyone should wake up now. We have to change our way of life and thinking, and return to the Creator God. If we don't change our selfish and corrupted ways, more of these Climate Change calamities will continue to happen at an increasing intensity!

Many people today were awestricken by the great scope of destruction that typhoon JUAN or MEGI brought to the Philippines. But before this latest super typhoon, the Philippines already experienced several destructive super typhoons, such as, MILENYO, ONDOY, PEPING, BASYANG, etc. As usual, many groups and organizations are requesting for cash and donations from various sectors of society to help the hapless victims of the typhoons with its floods. 

The Philippines somehow learned a lesson by preparing much earlier when typhoon Juan arrived. The world as a whole, prepared for super typhoons like these. Their approaches are usually technical, financial, and disaster and rescue training.

PHYSICAL PREPARATIONS (FINANCIAL, TECHNOLOGICAL, ETC.) ARE GOOD; BUT THEY ARE ALL OF NO MATCH TO THE SUPER TYPHOONS. WHAT WE NEED ARE THE SPIRITUAL PREPARATIONS!

But these disaster preparations, although good and necessary, are NOT enough! The root-cause of destructive Climate Change that give us super typhoons is spiritual! 

All of us must admit and always remember the reality that we are dealing with forces that are beyond human control! We must accept the truth that no amount of billions of money or wealth, nor the most advanced technology and training can match and control the Climate and Weather forces. Climate and Weather are of heavenly science and technologies that are above and beyond human knowledge and control. 

The knowledge and understanding that man has about the earth and the heavens are just of the elementary level. And many of his theories are even false. Even many brilliant scientists and engineers today are admitting their ignorance of the forces that they now observe in the heavens, especially the workings of the Sun! Also, there are many happenings here on earth that these scientists are being puzzled. 

AFTER A SUPER TYPHOON, THEN WHAT'S NEXT?

Let's stop for a moment and think soberly about this latest calamity. Will the destruction of typhoon JUAN be just another statistic and part of history? We were stricken before by typhoons Ondoy, Peping,  Millenyo, etc. with almost the same damage. Now, those super typhoons are just statistics and part of history. Have we really learned something?

IT IS GOD WHO SENT A DESTROYER TYPHOON! "A Destroying Storm, Like a Storm of Mighty Waters Overflowing, He Will Cast Them Down." (Isa 28:2)

• Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one. Like a storm of hail, a destroying storm, and like a storm of mighty waters overflowing, he will cast them down to the earth with his hand. (Isa 28:2 HNV)

BUT WHY? Why did God cast down to earth a destroying storm with mighty floods overflowing?

IT'S BECAUSE OF PRIDE, DRUNKENNESS, SELF-PLEASURE, AND IDOLATRY

• Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Efrayim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley of those who are overcome with wine! (Isa 28:1 HNV)

• The crown of pride of the drunkards of Efrayim will be trodden under foot. (Isa 28:3 HNV)

Ephraim or Efrayim is a tribe of Israel that lived like a Gentile. Ephraim symbolizes the religious people today that claim to worship and serve God, but are living like Gentiles. 

The "crown of pride" is Hebrew for "proud crown of the drunkards," etc. This custom prevailed among the Jews, as well as, among the Greeks and Romans before, and is still prevailing to the people of today. People today even invented a yearly festival of this sort, calling it "October Fest!"

So the people are occupied by, or in the possession of, those who are overcome with wine. That is, they were overcome or subdued by it. A man's reason, conscience, moral feelings, and physical strength are all overcome by indulgence in wine. 

These people are pleasure-seekers, and are enamored by celebrity personalities. And the celebrities and companies that profited by this idolatry are compared to a fading beautiful flower that will soon be destroyed, as a flower soon withers and fades away.

WINE AND FEASTING ARE NOT BAD PER SE. IT IS THEIR ABUSE AND SELF-INDULGENCE THAT LEAD PEOPLE TO SIN! 

• Blessed are you, land, when your king is a son of nobles and your princes feast at the proper time--for strength and not for drunkenness. (Ecc 10:17)

From John Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible:...Ephraim is put for the ten tribes, who were drunk either in a literal sense, for to the sin of drunkenness were they addicted, Hos 7:5, Amo 6:6, or in spiritual sense. Pleasures and delights destroyed the ten tribes. This is a sin very uncomely in any, but especially in professors of religion, as these were, and ought to be declaimed against: or they were drunkards in a metaphorical sense, either with idolatry, the two calves being set up in Dan and Bethel, which belonged to the ten tribes; just as the kings of the earth are said to be drunk with the wine of antichrist's fornication, or the idolatry of the church of Rome, Rev 17:2 or with pride and haughtiness, being elated with the fruitfulness of their country, their great affluence and riches, and numbers of people, in which they piqued themselves, and are therefore called "the crown of pride"; and especially their king may be meant, who was lifted up with pride that he ruled over such a country and people; or rather the city of Samaria, the metropolis of the ten tribes, and the royal city. Pride and sensuality are the vices condemned, and they often go together: -- John Gill 

• Look, a storm from the LORD! Wrath has gone forth, a whirling storm. It will whirl about the head of the wicked. (Jer 23:19)

• The LORD's anger will not turn back until He has completely fulfilled the purposes of His heart. In time to come you will understand it clearly. (Jer 23:20)

• The LORD...will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. (Nah 1:3 KJV)

• You will be visited by the LORD of Hosts with thunder, earthquake, and loud noise, storm, tempest, and a flame of consuming fire. (Isa 29:6) 

• This is what the LORD of Hosts says: Pay attention! Disaster goes forth from nation to nation. A great storm is stirred up from the ends of the earth. (Jer 25:32)

WHAT SHALL WE DO NOW? 

With the worsening effects of the so-called Climate Change, scientists are warning us for more and more typhoons with more and more destructive force! What shall we do now? Where do we go from here? 

• For the LORD says... Seek Me and live! (Amo 5:4)

STUDY AND LEARN THE MESSIANIC KABBALAH KNOWLEDGE

GOD desires loyalty and not sacrifice, Kabbalah knowledge rather than burnt offerings.

• For I desire loyalty and not sacrifice, the (Kabbalah) knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. (Hos 6:6)

• Tear your hearts, not just your clothes, and return to the LORD your God. For He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, rich in faithful love, and He relents from sending disaster. (Joel 2:13)
