Climate Change Purpose 5: TO SEEK AND RETURN TO THE TRUE GOD, NOT IDOLS!

DO YOU WANT TO ESCAPE CLIMATE CHANGE TRAGEDIES? Then Seek Only The True God, Not Idols and Idolaters!
  • For the LORD says ... Seek Me and live! (Amo 5:4)
  • Honor His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Search for the LORD and for His strength; seek His face always. (1Ch 16:10-11)
  • Seek the LORD and live, or He will spread like fire throughout the house...it will consume everything, with no one at Bethel to extinguish it. (Amo 5:6)
  • For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the Heavens. (1Ch 16:26)
AVOID IDOLATROUS CHURCHES AND PRACTICES!

Do not seek advice and prayer from false churches, with their lying and deceptive pastors and priests. Don’t go to those groups and churches who are practicing idolatry. This means don’t fellowship with them, don’t worship with them.

SEEK THE TRUE GOD ONLY. And fellowship only with those people who served the True Creator God of the Universe. The following scripture and the corresponding explanation proved what I am saying.
  • But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought. (Amo 5:5 KJV)
From John Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible:

But seek not Bethel... Do not go to Bethel, the place where one of Jeroboam's calves was set up and worshipped, to consult the oracle, idols, and priests there; or to perform religious worship, which will be your ruin, if not prevented by another course of living:

nor enter into Gilgal; another place of idolatry, where idols were set up and worshipped See Gill on Amo_4:4;

and pass not to Beersheba; a place in the further part of the land of Israel; it formerly belonged to Judah, but was now in the hands of the ten tribes, and where idolatrous worship was practised; see Amo_8:14; it having been a place where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, had dwelt, and worshipped the true God:

for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity; that is, the inhabitants of it; they will not be able with their idols and idol worship to save themselves, and therefore go not thither. There is an elegant play on words here (b), as there is also in the next words:

and Bethel shall come to nought; which also was called Bethaven, the house of vanity, or of an idol which is nothing in the world; and therefore, because of the idolatry in it, should come to nothing, be utterly destroyed, and the inhabitants of it. So the Targum, "they, that are in Gilgal, and worship calves in Bethel.''-- GILL
  • But if you shall seek the LORD your God from there, you shall find Him, if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deu 4:29 MKJV)
  • When you are in trouble and when all these things have found you in the latter days, then you shall return to the LORD your God and shall be obedient to His voice. (Deu 4:30 MKJV)
  • For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not forsake you, nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them. (Deu 4:31 MKJV)
ANYONE WHO DOES NOT SEEK THE LORD IS GUARANTEED TO DO EVIL!
  • And he did that which was evil, because he set not his heart to seek the LORD. (2Ch 12:14 JPS)
  • ... know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever. (1Ch 28:9)
SEEK THE LORD AND BUILD HIS TEMPLE!
  • Now set your heart and your soul to seek after the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of the LORD God... (1Ch 22:19 HNV)
